An Annual Update from William Higginson
Founder and Co-Admin of the Boise Christmas Lights Project
This page doesn't really have much in terms of a "recap", but it's more about stats. That being said, these stats are estimates. For the first three seasons (2015, 2016 and 2017), I had a very small following and was still figuring out the best way to operate the map and project. I didn't really start a dedicated blog or website till the 2018 season. That being said, I do keep a private "map archive" where I keep track of all the homes that were featured on the map in previous years. The first three years of the archive aren't 100% accurate, because for those years I took homes off the archive that were lit up the following year. It wasn't until 2018 that I stopped doing that.
So, here's a very rough estimate of what our map listings looked like for the first three years of the project:
2015 - approx. 18 Displays Total
Approx. 5 Light Shows synced to Music
Approx. 13 Static Displays
2016 - approx. 22 Displays Total
Approx. 7 Light Shows synced to Music
Approx. 15 Static Displays
2017 - approx. 35 Displays Total
Approx. 9 Light Shows synced to Music
Approx. 26 Static Displays
