The Worldwide Corona Lights Movement

It's Christmas in March! #LightsForLife #CoronaKindness #CoronaLights

By William Higginson, Admin at Boise Christmas Lights

A few days ago, I saw an article about people who were calling on the return of Christmas light displays during the COVID-19 pandemic. This idea seems to be sparked by Lane Grindle, play-by-play broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers, and it's only taken off from there!

So in the last week, some Christmas light decorators on Facebook and Twitter across the world have come back to life in the off-season to make some magic happen. Several users in the Light-o-Rama and xLights Facebook groups have shared their displays. It's been unofficially dubbed as "Corona Lights", a cheeky nod to the beer that is very likely suffering sales due to the unfortunate name sharing. People are sharing their decorations using the hashtags #LightsForLife, #CoronaKindness and #CoronaLights.
